National solutions driven by citizens’ ideas; this is the main concept behind the IDB’s Startup Weekend. This competition will identify and support innovative proposals for Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects that improve the delivery of public services. Interested persons from all sectors of society will be invited to spend the weekend of November 24-25 to collaborate, brainstorm, coach, pitch and present proposals, with the end goal of improving the relevance, efficiency, and quality of Trinidad and Tobago’s public services.

The IDB welcomes ideas and proposals for the improvement of government services, such as health, education, basic utilities, sanitation and waste management, tax administration, social programmes, and citizen security. The best-designed proposals will be judged by a panel of experts and will receive an award of up to US $10,000 each to implement pilot projects.
